After spending the weekend getting to know the new Alabama coaching staff, Bama247 had a conversation with the summer enrollee.
On January 21, Scott had a phone conversation with both receiving coach Marcus Shephard and head coach DeBoer. Plans were soon underway to visit Alabama on official business and have face-to-face meetings with his new coaches. After Scott made his initial connections with coaches DeBoer and Shephard, Bama247 had a conversation with him.
“I like (coach DeBoer), he seems cool and I have heard good things about him so far from players and other coaches that have come across him,” Scott stated at the time. Additionally, he stated that Alabama was a “great fit” for coach DeBoer.
After his official tour, we followed up with the summer enrollee to find out if he had the same impressions of the new Tuscaloosa staff.
”Well he (DeBoer) is a nice man and i feel he would be a great mentor to work with, i think my team and i would look into the paper works sooner than expected”
With that being said, preparations have began to make it official.
Scott is a product of Bishop McDevitt in Pennsylvania, and he is listed as a four-star recruit on most recruiting sites.
At 6-foot and approximately 180 pounds, Scott is a physical runner after the catch. He explodes out of his release at the line of scrimmage, which allows him to create separation quickly.
