On Sunday against Las Vegas, Jalen Ramsey intercepted two passes, including one in the fourth quarter that was a putaway pick.

Florida’s Miami Gardens — In order to prevent Las Vegas from mounting a comeback in the fourth quarter, Jalen Ramsey made a game-ending interception. On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins survived three turnovers to defeat the Raiders, 20-13.

With 22 seconds remaining, Ramsey—who had earlier in the game intercepted Aidan O’Connell—caught a ball intended for Tre Tucker in the end zone, capping an uncommon Miami defensive outing in which the team’s strength was outmatched by its strength.

For Miami, Tua Tagovailoa completed 28 of 39 passes for 325 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. During the Dolphins’ opening drive, he also gave up his third fumble of the season during a scramble. Tyreek Hill gained 146 yards on 10 receptions, including his eighth touchdown of the season—a league record.

On the penultimate drive for Las Vegas, O’Connell, who completed 24 of 41 with 271 yards and three interceptions, also threw a pick.

With his team down 7, O’Connell dropped back to pass on fourth down at Miami’s 38 when defensive tackle Christian Wilkins wrapped him up. O’Connell tried to force up a pass, and Jaelan Phillips came up with the ball for his first career interception.

The other touchdown pass from Tagovailoa, an 11-yarder in the second quarter, was caught by Salvon Ahmed.

After a Dolphins punt with 10:55 remaining, the Raiders gained possession at the 50 yard line. However, they turned the ball over on downs after a deep pass from O’Connell to Tucker on second-and-17—which was initially called a catch—was reversed.

Miami (7-3) won, solidifying their lead in the AFC East while Las Vegas (5-6) lost, ending a two-game winning streak.

Both defenses got off to a hot start. On the Raiders’ opening drive, Miami linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel punched the ball out of the hands of rookie tight end Michael Mayer for what was originally called a fumble returned by safety Jevon Holland for a Dolphins touchdown. Officials overturned it to an incomplete pass after a short review, but the play forced a Las Vegas punt.

Luke Masterson wrenched the ball out of Tagovailoa’s grasp during a third-down scramble deep in Dolphins territory on the following drive. After that, Miami’s defense forced the Raiders to settle for a field goal, which Daniel Carlson made from 34 yards out to put the Dolphins ahead 3-0.

In the latter part of the first half, the sequence was repeated. On just his second reception of the season, Dolphins rookie tight end Julian Hill fumbled at Miami’s 32, and Divine Deablo recovered it. After allowing fewer than 17 points in their previous two games, Miami’s defense held once more, compelling Carlson to attempt a 47-yard ( goal. The half began with the Dolphins leading 14–13.

Aside from Adams, who finished with 82 receiving yards, including a 46-yard touchdown reception, the Raiders had little offensive activity for the majority of the contest.

The Dolphins scored their fewest points at home this season, but they still finished with 422 yards of offense. This season, Miami has not dropped a game at home.
