The contract extension’s specifics, including its financial parameters, have not yet been made public.
If nothing is done, Agholor’s contract, which was supposed to expire on Monday at 4 p.m. ET, may result in $1.668 million in dead money being applied to the Ravens’ 2024 salary ceiling.
The 30-year-old wide receiver showed off his flexibility in his rookie season with the Ravens, pulling in 35 receptions for 381 yards, good for sixth place among Ravens receivers. In addition, Agholor scored four touchdowns, which strengthened his influence on the team’s passing game.
Three of Lamar Jackson’s top four targets will be returning for the upcoming campaign with Agholor back in the fold. Odell Beckham Jr. is the lone important receiver who is a free agent in the near future.
After being selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Agholor has had a successful career with spells at the Eagles, Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, and Baltimore Ravens.
He has 35 touchdown catches, 4,627 receiving yards, and 375 receptions in his career. With their sights set on winning the 2017 season, the Ravens will try to take advantage of Agholor’s background and skill set.
