Offensive tackle Desmond Green of Timberland High School is being projected as one of the top prospects in the country on the offensive line for the 2026 class.

South Carolina coach Shane Beamer and Clemson coach Dabo Swinney, and their staffs, are well underway in their recruitment of the 6-4, 325-pound lineman, who is drawing national recruiting interest as well.

Green’s offer list through this summer includes USC, Clemson, Georgia, Oregon, Florida State, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, Auburn, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma and Florida.

“I’m about to head into my junior season, it’s not exactly time to start chopping down the list yet, but it’s definitely time to start thinking about where I see my future,” Green said. “I’m not going to come down to a decision just yet, but it’s starting to get around that time to where it’s time to focus on this group of schools.

“I don’t know who those schools are just yet, but I’ve got some in my mind that I need to start figuring out the pros, the cons.”

Green has been active on the recruiting trail the last wo years with game and unofficial visits to many of the schools which have offered. His camp stops this summer included USC, Clemson, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, North Carolina, N.C. State and Tennessee.

The only game visit he has set for this coming season at this point is to Florida for the season opener with Miami.

“At any school I’m going to get a good education,” Green said. “I’ll look for the school where I have the best relationships, where I think I can build the best relationships with the coaches, the players who are already there, the other recruits that might be there, staff. I’m looking for good people because once I’m there, I don’t plan on entering the transfer portal.

“I want to be there and make it my second home. I look to see which coach is going to give me the best chance going to the next level as well, who can develop me as a great player. And I’ll also look for where they care about me as a person and can make me a better man.”
