Great News: Exciting News For The Longhorns As Rumors Has It That Georgia’s Key Man Has Been Ruled Out Of The Clash Between Texas and Georgia Due To….

Georgia set to be without this key member of the team for showdown with Texas

The odds keep stacking up against the Bulldogs.

Georgia football mascot Uga XI will not accompany Bulldogs to Texas
Texas (No. 1) and Georgia (No. 5) are set to have their 2019 Sugar Bowl rematch this Saturday. The Longhorns were able to upset the Bulldogs 28-21 and declared that they were “back.” While Texas fell short of their National Championship aspirations in the following years, Georgia won the natty back-to-back in 2022 and 2023, becoming the first team to accomplish the feat in the College Football Playoff era and seemingly the top “dawg” in the SEC.

After getting upset 41-34 by Alabama, Georgia fell in the AP poll and lost its grip on the SEC. Luckily for the Bulldogs, Bama was upset by Vanderbilt the following week and barely survived South Carolina on Oct. 12.

The Dawgs were able to fend off Auburn (31-13) and Mississippi State (41-31) these past two weeks but now they have to travel to Austin – but they will be without a key member for their team.

Uga XI will not be in attendance for the SEC showdown.

The most recent time Uga didn’t travel with the team was on Sept. 14. Georgia traveled to Kentucky and scraped by 13-12. So technically it’s not that big of a deal, but that doesn’t stop fans from remembering the last time Uga and Bevo met each other.

The reason for Uga not gracing the game with his presence is because of travel logistics. Uga’s handler, Charles Seiler, shared to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the “pup is really young and immature and crazy as hell.”

Seiler added that the new mascot has yet to travel on a bus or plane. He also denied the safety concerns that stem from the 2019 Sugar Bowl.

Georgia is currently the underdogs this weekend, which hasn’t happened in 50 games. The last time Georgia were underdogs at home was on Sept. 4, 2021, when they faced Clemson – the Dawgs ended up winning. The last time they were underdogs on the road was on Oct. 17, 2020, when they faced Alabama – Bama won 41-24.

Texas, who are currently 3.5 point favorites, will look to maintain the No. 1 spot and stay undefeated (6-0). The Longhorns were able to handle Mississippi State in their first SEC game (35-13) and strutted away victorious in the Red River Rivalry (34-3) but this will be their first real test in the SEC. As for the Bulldogs, this game will make or break Georgia’s chances for Kirby Smart’s third national championship run.
