World Cup 2023: Indian bowlers received praise from Paras Mhambrey for giving it their all during the league stage of the competition held in India.

Indian bowling coach Paras Mhambrey praised his team after they won all nine of their games in the World Cup 2023 league stage. At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday, November 12, the Men in Blue defeated the Netherlands by a margin of 160 runs in their final league game.

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was praised by Mhambrey for his impressive return to action after missing the game with back problems. In addition, he gave Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj kudos for playing their all in the current major tournament being held in India.

“The action Boom (Bumrah) is very different. Just observe how he has returned to the game after his injury. The special action, the combination of skills. He gives you a total beating. He now possesses both. He inserts the ball and extracts it. The ICC cited Mhambrey as saying, “He’s turned deadly.”

“Shami is someone who has the seam (that hits) straight upright. You never know when Shami hits that seam, which way it’s going to come. Siraj has really kind of grown in the last couple of years. He’s understood his bowling, obviously coming through the ranks. He’s started using different set of skills, the wobble seam,” he stated.

Mhambrey did not forget to laud Ravindra Jadeja for not letting batters get on top of him with his accurate line and lengths.
