Great News for the Seattle Seahawks as they aim to restart their offense in their matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

Due to an elbow ailment, quarterback Geno Smith of the Seattle Seahawks was unable to practice much last week. On Thanksgiving night, the Seahawks lost 31–13 to the San Francisco 49ers, and Smith’s lack of practice time was evident. Throughout the game, he completed 18 of 27 passes for 180 yards and one interception.

During Sunday’s 17-16 Week 11 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Smith felt a contusion in his right triceps muscle. It wasn’t until Wednesday, the day before he played the 49ers, that he fully participated in practice.

The Seahawks (6-5) are gearing up to take on the Dallas Cowboys (8-3) on Thursday night, but this week has been different. This week, Smith’s arm is feeling much better, and he has participated fully in sessions.

When discussing the advantages of Smith practicing this week, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told reporters on Tuesday, “The difference was night and day.” As he does every week, he was conducting practice and entertaining us by throwing the football everywhere. He carried that out precisely. He was aggressive the entire time, which wasn’t the case last week. Although we don’t want to draw attention to it, it was clear that there was a significant difference.

The Seahawks hope the rest and reps will power Smith to a strong performance against the Cowboys, who are one of the hottest teams in the league with three consecutive dominant wins.

The offense of the Seahawks needs some juice. In the last two games, the group has scored 30 points in total. The offense owns the longest active streak in the NFL with 20 possessions without a touchdown.

Carroll claimed that Smith was holding onto the ball for too long at times after the quarterback was sacked six times in the 49ers game.

“Coach is correct. Rather than throwing men open as is my usual approach, I think I have been holding the ball a little too long, Smith told reporters on Tuesday.

It will be difficult to restart the offense against the Cowboys, whose defense is fourth in scoring and rated third overall in the NFL. In their last three games, they have given up 12.3 points per game on average. The Cowboys have recorded 37 sacks, which is tied for fourth in the league, led by Micah Parsons’ 11 sacks.
