It’s confirmed. When the Chicago Bulls play Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, they won’t have all their players available. This comes shortly before tipoff, when the club announced the bad news regarding Zach LaVine’s injury.
Zach LaVine Ruled Out Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
LaVine was officially ruled out of Thursday’s game by Bulls head coach Billy Donovan, according to Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The two-time All-Star has officially ruled himself out of the game after first being listed as questionable.
LaVine’s right foot pain caused him to leave Chicago’s most recent game, a humiliating 124-97 thumping at the hands of the Boston Celtics. This same problem will keep him out of Tuesday’s matchup with the Bucks.
At this point, it remains to be seen when the 28-year-old will be able to return to action for Chicago.
Alex Caruso Will Play Vs. Bucks
That Alex Caruso has been elevated to available is fantastic news for the Bulls. Due to a left toe strain, he was also originally listed as questionable to play, but with LaVine out, he will now have to play despite the problem. With LaVine out, Caruso should see an increase in his minutes.
DeMar DeRozan is still dubious to play as of this writing; his status was probably changed just before tipoff.
