Sad News For The Gunners As Top Ace Player Is Set To Leave In January After He Has Complained Of Limited Play Time…

The Gunners have begun talks with one of their periphery stars about a temporary departure.

Arsenal are in talks to sanction a loan move for one of their out of favour players in January, according to a fresh report that has emerged.

Arsenal’s recent departures

During the previous transfer window, Edu and Mikel Arteta approved the sales of 14 players, eight of them were shipped out on a permanent basis and the other six, in order to get more experience and playing time, were sent out on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Gunners also have Jorginho, Cedric Soares and Mohamed Elneny who will have reached the expiration of their deals at the end of the term (Arsenal contracts), so they could additionally soon be heading for the exit door should they not extend their stay.

Jakub Kiwior signed a contract with the Emirates Stadium after joining from Spezia Calcio back in January, but the center back has lost favor after making just two starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League this season (WhoScored – Kiwior statistics).

If the upcoming update is to be believed, AC Milan’s interest in signing the Poland international on an initial loan with a buyout option has increased. Gazzetta Dello Sport first reported in November that AC Milan was interested in signing the 23-year-old.

AC Milan in discussions to sign Jakub Kiwior

As reported by Sport Witness and the Italian publication Calciomercato, AC Milan is very interested in signing Kiwior before January. The “first name” on Stefano Pioli’s list is the defender for Arsenal, and it’s anticipated that a “concrete attempt” would be made in the next window.

After “working intensely for a few days,” the Serie A team’s technical director Geoffrey Moncada and sporting director Antonio D’Ottavio have said that “discussions will continue” between the two teams in the upcoming weeks.

Arsenal should sell “rusty and timid” Kiwior

While Arteta may be aware that Kiwior currently ranks as his team’s 21st best-performing player out of 23 squad members (WhoScored – Arsenal statistics), it might be the right move to let him go in January even though he hasn’t been given a real chance to prove what he’s capable of this season.

The Tychy native currently makes £58k a week, which is more than players like Emile Smith Rowe and Fabio Vieira (whose salaries are at Arsenal). As a result, Gunners management may want to get rid of him in order to free up additional funds for hiring new players in the upcoming season.

Given how much he’s dropped in the hierarchy, Kiwior, who has played fewer minutes than Aaron Ramsdale, has turned into a “rusty and timid” player, according to Dennis M. Esser. As such, letting him go to find other pastures would undoubtedly be the wisest course of action that all sides can agree upon.
