Big News As Nebraska football drops big announcement that will have fans Anticipate for 2024 Season.

The 2023 Nebraska football season is finished, but on April 27th, we will get to watch the 2024 team play.

Although Nebraska football fans’ expectations for the first year of the Matt Rhule era in Lincoln were not met, there is still hope among the supporters. With a 5-7 (3-6) record at the end of the season, the Cornhuskers just missed out on a bowl game. Last weekend, after a late interception set the Cornhuskers up wonderfully, it appeared as though Nebraska may win their sixth straight game against Iowa. However, they immediately ended their hopes of winning with a pick of their own. Following that defeat, Rhule and his Nebraska squad will now turn their attention to the 2024 campaign, wrapping off their 2023 campaign.

With USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington joining the Big Ten, Nebraska’s football squad may have more challenges the following season. Every team will face a more challenging schedule, which will not be good for the teams that had a bad season. August 31st marks the commencement of the Cornhuskers season; however, the date of Nebraska’s Spring Game has already been established.

On April 27, the Cornhuskers will play their Spring Game, thus it will be our first chance to see the 2024 Nebraska football team, as Michael Bruntz tweeted. Fans of Nebraska always turn out in force for the Spring Game, regardless of what transpired the year before.

The program’s fan base is aware that it will take some time to rebuild, but Rhule must demonstrate in year two that improvements are being made. Nebraska must, at the very least, play in a bowl game the following season. After missing out on bowl games in 2016, the Cornhuskers’ lack of bowl experience is unsatisfactory for a program that level.

Nebraska may even be favored in their first seven games, which is wonderful news. The calendar includes some challenging games, but they are all scheduled for the latter few weeks of the season. The home game against Rutgers is most likely the hardest matchup of the first seven weeks.

We’ll be watching Rhule and Nebraska in action for the first time in late April, so it will be interesting to see how they perform in 2024.
