ESPN believes Michigan is the best transfer destination for him, This Statement Comes As QB Dante Moore Eyes Michigan Move.

Former UCLA quarterback Dante Moore, a five-star high school prospect out of Detroit, is one of the athletes rumored to be considering a transfer to Michigan. Although he has options to play for his hometown school, the Wolverines provide him the chance to play with elite teams like Oregon, Florida State, and others.

He has options to play for his hometown team at the University of Michigan, but there are also other elite schools like Oregon, Florida State, and others.

The opportunity is so great that on Tuesday, ESPN’s Tom Luginbill named Michigan as the best landing spot for Moore. Here is what he had to say:

“Undoubtedly, a lot of people had Moore at the top of their lists due to his potential, eligibility, and impressive fall performance at UCLA. For Moore, a native of Detroit, attending Michigan makes sense since it would allow him to return home and compete for a championship each year while he is still eligible. He’s not quite the same runner, but he shares many characteristics with Jayden Daniels as a passer.”

After all of that examination, to say he has the same arm skill as the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner is fairly high praise. Just the thought of Moore potentially moving to Ann Arbor should have Michigan supporters drooling.

As a prep player, Moore attended Detroit’s MLK High School, and scouts and assessors saw something similar in him, to Luginbill’s point. According to Allen Trieu of 247Sports, Moore is comparable to Dak Prescott because he is a highly skilled and mature player who does not seem to rattle easily. He also works extremely hard, and his overall package suggests that he will be a multi-year college starter. Moore was ranked as the No. 5 overall player and the No. 3 quarterback in the class.

In the offseason, should J.J. McCarthy decide to forgo his remaining college eligibility and enter the NFL Draft, the Wolverines might have an open quarterback competition. In that scenario, Jayden Denegal, Davis Warren, Alex Orji, and incoming true freshman Jadyn Davis would make up Michigan’s current quarterback room. Though none of those people have shown any proof, there is talent there.

Even if McCarthy were to stay, Moore reportedly doesn’t mind learning and growing from a year of shadowing an experienced quarterback. McCarthy could definitely work with it and wouldn’t abandon Moore, unlike what happened to him a few years ago with another quarterback.

Will there be a transfer of this kind? Moore to Michigan just makes sense; no one knows for sure yet.
