Breaking: According to the most recent transfer portal odds, Nebraska football has been given the green light to land Top Rated QB over Texas A&M.

After choosing to use the transfer portal, Kyle McCord of Ohio State decided to play football for Nebraska, which was given a significant advantage.

The most recent odds for Nebraska football indicate that the Cornhuskers are heavy favorites at -250 to land Ohio State transfer Kyle McCord; Texas A&M is the closest at +400. McCord has been rumored for Nebraska for a while, and the odds continue to point in that direction.

Several recruiting sources have provided McCord with expert projections indicating that he will likely commit to Nebraska football. Although the precise dates of his travel to Lincoln this week have not been disclosed, he has been scheduled to visit the city. Wide receiver Julian Fleming of Ohio State is rumored to be planning a visit to Nebraska, maybe to accompany quarterback McCord to the Cornhuskers.

Nebraska’s program would benefit greatly from this addition, especially considering that the team struggled all season with quarterback troubles. For the Cornhuskers, McCord is a capable game manager. He knows how to win, but he won’t be the showy, all-around quarterback who will run plays past their breaking point. Head coach Matt Rhule, who merely needs someone with experience and big-game playing, may be a fantastic fit for McCord.

McCord ran for 24 touchdowns on 3,170 yards and six interceptions in the 2023 season. Compared to the circumstances Rhule and the Nebraska football team faced this season, this is undoubtedly an improvement. Several quarterbacks were used to throw, with Jeff Sims opening the season with five games played, one touchdown, and six interceptions. It appears that McCord will commit to Nebraska football and join the Rhule as their newest signal caller.
