Great News: Titans steal defensive lineman from Detroit Lions, What a great signing.

Titans steal DL Quinton Bohanna from the Detroit Lions

DL Quinton Bohanna was plucked by the Tennessee Titans from the Detroit Lions practice squad, according to an Aaron Wilson report. It was widely assumed that the Lions would add Bohanna to their 53-man roster in order to keep him from being plucked, but they were unable to accomplish that. Bohanna was available for signing by another team because he was out of elevations with the Lions.

Corresponding Move

The Lions declared on Wednesday that they had added DL Chris Smith back to their practice squad in a comparable move.

By The Numbers

Bohanna played in 3 games (2 starts) with the Lions in 2023 before being signed by the Titans. In those games, he recorded six tackles (two for loss).

Bohanna played in a total of 27 games with the Dallas Cowboys in 2021–2022 before signing a contract with the Lions. Throughout the 10 games (all starts), he totaled 29 tackles.

The Tennessee Titans’ calculated action is indicative of the fluidity of NFL rosters and the constant pursuit of talent to improve team output. The journey of Quinton Bohanna from the practice squad of the Lions to the starting lineup of the Titans highlights the competitive nature of player acquisition in the NFL and the significance of grasping opportunities. Bohanna presents the Titans with demonstrated skills and the ability to improve their defensive line, while the Lions must find a replacement for him.
