Bad News: Tennessee Titans Have Lost Four Key Players Due To Serious Injuries And They Are…

The Tennessee Titans will undoubtedly be the healthier team going into their Week 15 battle against the Houston Texans, but they also have a number of injury worries after their practice on Friday, with four players officially ruled out for Sunday.

This week, the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans square off in a divisional game that will see both clubs battling with a heavy injury list. On Friday, the Titans were forced to bench four players, while Houston was forced to bench three players as well.

Regarding the Titans, after missing practice all week, tight end Josh Whyle and wide receiver Kyle Philips were among those ruled out on Friday. The absence of standout defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons was also anticipated given his injury in Week 14.

Teair Tart’s nose tackle would be the fourth. Though there hasn’t been any official confirmation, there are some reports that Tart is genuinely being let go from the squad. This is a matter worth discussing on its own.

Looking ahead to Sunday, four Titans will be in question. Denico Autry, who is having a career year rushing the passer, will be a part of that. Given that Tart might not be on the team and that Simmons is already out, his presence would be much missed.

Wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting, and linebacker Jack Gibbens are also included. With the Titans thin at all three locations, all three could be devastating losses despite their crucial roles as starters.

Even worse off are the Texans. Tavierre Thomas, the cornerback, and starter linebacker Blake Cashman are out, as is the gifted edge rusher Will Anderson. Both starting offensive lineman George Fant and standout wide receiver Nico Collins are doubtful, although they are not predicted to play.

This leads us to C.J. Stroud, who hasn’t practiced this week and was still following the concussion protocol as of Friday’s practice. Houston’s message this week has focused on Stroud’s long-term health, which may be a sign that the standout rookie quarterback won’t be available.
