Tommy DeVito of the Giants: Can he continue his incredible journey against the Saints? Experts select their favorites. What are your thoughts?

“You’re only as good as your last envelope.”

Both in the NFL and on The Sopranos, it is real. Tommy DeVito, the quarterback for the Giants, and his agent had six days to enjoy the kid’s incredible victory over the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night and the accompanying three-game winning streak, while the entire country went — wait, what’s the Italian word for gaga?

It’s also likely that Sean “Lips” Stellato missed a podcast, radio, or TV appearance as he was off to the cleaners to drop off his suit and hat in preparation for his unexpected induction into the Hall of Fame.

“I am grateful for everyone’s support,” DeVito stated this past week. “I’m simply attempting to stay true to who I am. I will display my individuality. That concludes it.

See, DeVito is demonstrating to the outside world what the rest of us already knew: people from New Jersey are really endearing.

That being said, what can we expect from Tommy Cutlets when we play the Saints in New Orleans on Sunday? There must be a limit to this amazing journey, right? Correct? (Finding Daniel Jones, please.)

Will it, however, come to an end in the land of parades, king cakes, and Mardi Gras beads, where festivities never end and quarterback Derek Carr is being jeered by Saints supporters?

Please give me the envelope.

The Giants have an opportunity to match their best winning run since they won six straight games in 2016. Can Tommy DeVito win four games in a row to increase his record as a starter to 4-1? One significant obstacle for him is: The Saints, ranked eighth in Pro Football Focus’ ratings, have a powerful defense. The Giants’ defense will perform well in New Orleans like it has been doing well lately. But it won’t be sufficient. Giants 13, Saints 21

Bob Brookover, Eagles and Giants beats

DeVito-Mania has been something to watch and so, too, has been Wink Martindale’s defense, which has had 12 takeaways during the team’s three-game winning streak. This will be DeVito’s toughest road test since his first start in Dallas when he threw for just 86 yards. Should the Giants win, they’ll truly be in the playoff conversation ahead of their Christmas Day game with the Eagles. 23, Giants 20

Andy Vasquez, Jets beat

Before its reprieve last week against the poorest team in the NFL, Carolina, New Orleans had conceded at least 24 points in three straight losses. However, as Brain Daboll continues to extract every last bit of performance from Tommy DeVito, the Giants are firing up their offense. And the Giants’ defense, with its blitzing tendencies, is exactly what Saints quarterback Derek Carr doesn’t need to see as he’s struggled to retain his cool against inferior opponents. With a fourth straight victory, DeVito will have enough to sustain the incredible dream for an additional week. Saints 16, Giants 21

Cayden Steele, Eagles beat

Tommy DeVito is proving that he is more than just a fun story. After taking over for Daniel Jones, he somehow sparked a lifeless offense that struggled for most of the year. Everyone is having fun with DeVito under center, which cannot be said about Jones. On Sunday, the Giants will continue their success by beating up the Saints, whose quarterback, Derek Carr, is not the player he used to be. With the defense making plays, DeVito will get his playmakers involved and lead the Giants to another win. Giants 24, Saints 13

Chris Franklin, Eagles beat

Tommy DeVito has been a spark for the Giants at quarterback, and he is putting up a compelling argument to compete for the starting position in the upcoming campaign. With Daniel Jones, the offense appears to be much closer to what Brian Daboll had in mind. But against the Saints, who have the seventh-best pass defense in the league (189.5 yards per game), the enchantment wears off. Which iteration of the Saints offense, led by quarterback Derek Carr, plays will determine the result. The Giants fought valiantly, but Cajun cuisine triumphed over Chicken Cutlets.
