Breaking Report: Andy Reid Likely To Bench Kansas City Chiefs Offensive Weapon At The End Of Patriots Game.

After the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the New England Patriots in Week 15, head coach Andy Reid is thinking of making the bold move of benching one of his best wide receivers. The Chiefs snapped a two-game losing slide on Sunday with a much-needed victory.

But it wasn’t a perfect win against the lowly 3-11 Patriots.

Wide receiver Kadarius Toney dropped a pass that turned into a Patriots interception.

For Toney, it was just one of several errors made this season. When Toney’s offside call against the Buffalo Bills negated the game’s winning score, he came under fire. This season, he has dropped a number of other passes.

Reid was asked following the Patriots game if he’d consider benching Toney. According to PJ Green with Fox 4, Reid said he’d “see” if the Chiefs will keep Toney on the field or the bench in Week 16.

Reid said he wasn’t entirely down on Toney.

All told, this year’s Chiefs wide receiver class is terrible. In terms of drops, they top the league. But Toney needs to improve if he hopes to play in the NFL at all, let alone with the Chiefs. The New York Giants didn’t employ the former first-round pick much before trading him to the Chiefs.

It hasn’t been easy for Toney in Kansas City.
