Injury Update: The Suns Gets Devastating News About Star Guard, Brandley Beal

Bradley Beal, the guard for the Suns, hurt his right ankle on Friday night. Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Beal will be out for “a few weeks.” But medical examinations showed no significant ankle damage, Charania continues.

When Beal landed on Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo’s foot during a shooting attempt in the first quarter, he rolled his ankle. DiVincenzo entered Beal’s landing zone and was given a Flagrant 1 foul. Beal was hobbling as he made his way to the locker room, but he managed to make his free throws and go off the court without assistance. X-rays came back negative, but he was out for the remainder of the game, per an ESPN report.

Beal had only played six games this season due to back problems that he experienced since the beginning of training camp. When the Suns traded for Bradley Beal in the offseason, they expected to assemble a formidable Big Three, but injuries have also sidelined Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, so the three haven’t played together very often.

According to the ESPN article, Phoenix coach Frank Vogel stated, “Injuries are a part of the game.” “I feel sorry for him. His dismay was visible on his face from behind. My main worry is keeping him elevated. Though his season has been tough due to injuries, he will recover eventually.
