Devastating Moments, As Lions HC Dan Campbell Tells Fans To Chanel Their Frustration Over Ticket Prices Somewhere Else.

The Detroit Lions are among the best teams in the NFL, but sadly, there is a cost to their success for a lot of their supporters.

According to a Front Office Sports article, the Lions emailed season ticket holders informing them that prices would rise by an average of 30% for the 2024 season, with some seats seeing increases of up to 85%. The areas most impacted are the lower bowl and club level.

A significant section of the Lions fan base has been incensed by the decision to raise fees, especially since team president Rod Wood has not offered an explanation. As a result, many fans have taken to social media to express their discontent, using language that is too graphic to post here.

Head coach Dan Campbell told reporters on Wednesday that while he understood the supporters’ annoyance, he isn’t the person they should be venting to.

“Don’t put me in that spot,” Campbell told reporters. “I’m not in marketing. I don’t deal with ticket prices. I’m just trying to win games, so I don’t know, you know? It is what it is. And I hate to say that, but I have no – there is nothing I can do about anything but just try to coach and give us a winner.”

For the first time since relocating to Ford Field in 2002, the Lions sold out of season tickets for the 2023 campaign. The Lions are one of 12 teams to play at full strength for the whole season. Detroit’s attendance this season is eighth in the NFL, up ten spots from the previous one.

Due to the inclusion of an 18th week, the Lions will also profit monetarily by having an additional home game in 2024.
