After suffering yet another devastating defeat to the Buffalo Bills, the Miami Dolphins are now suffering from injuries at the worst possible time of the season. The Dolphins have suffered a great deal of injuries on defence and at linebacker in the last several weeks. Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Waddle were already absent from the Bills game; ideally, they will be back against the Chiefs.
The number of injured players is growing, making the already difficult challenge of going into Arrowhead and winning the playoffs even more difficult in the absence of many of their star players. Two more key defensive players were injured in the Dolphins’ game against the Bills, which is not good news for their prospects of making it to the postseason.
The Dolphins have had an incredible season, so it could not come at a worse time for injuries to mount up. It would be unfortunate if they are not even healthy enough to contend for a postseason spot due to injuries.
Miami Dolphins List Of Injured Players
Bradley Chubb, a linebacker who was having a tremendous season, is gone for the year due to an ACL tear. This is a major blow to the defence. Miami’s linebacker position has been severely weakened as a result of the injuries to linebackers Cameron Goode and Jaelen Phillips, who are both out for the season.
The Dolphins lost two additional linebackers, which worsened the situation. After Jerome Baker and Andrew Van Ginkel both suffered injuries that kept them out of the postseason, they had to add a couple guys merely to have players at that position. It appears that Xavien Howard won’t be able to play in their first playoff game as a result of those horrific injuries.
It would be really remarkable for Miami to travel to Kansas City and defeat the reigning champions with all of these key defensive players missing, especially Jaylen Waddle and Raheem, who have been out of the lineup for the past few games and are now back for their first playoff game. When they start players in this game who haven’t been with the squad all season, it might not be possible at this stage.
Baker used Twitter to express his emotions about the injury and to encourage his teammates as they advance to the postseason. Unfortunately, Miami’s injuries have come at the wrong moment, and being healthy is crucial for success in the postseason. Thus, as they approach the postseason, things do not appear to be improving for them. This squad appeared to be one and done in the postseason, barring a miracle, just three weeks ago when they were competing for the top spot.
