Nebraska makes addition of transfer Isaiah Neyor official

Football at Nebraska announces the arrival of a Texas transfer wide receiver.

On Friday morning, the program’s inclusion of another player from Nebraska’s incoming transfer portal was announced.

Nebraska agreed Through a social media post, Texas wide receiver Isaiah Neyor formally joined the football team. Neyor is one of the athletes who will be arriving in Lincoln this weekend in preparation for the winter training programme.

After spending two seasons in the Texas programme, Neyor made his way onto the transfer site in early December. He was seen as a major acquisition to the Longhorns programme after a prior gateway trip that grabbed notice from some of college football’s heavy hitters. However, in 2022, he tore his ACL at fall camp, which presented a significant challenge for him to overcome while in Austin. He has, nevertheless, a history of success in college football.

Beginning his career at Wyoming, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound receiver was an All-Mountain West standout after a 2021 season in which he grabbed in 44 receptions for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore. His 12 receiving touchdowns and 19.95 yards per reception led the MWC and placed him sixth and seventh in the FBS, respectively. That season, he had consecutive 100-yard performances against teams like Utah State and Boise State.

Neyor joins Oregon running back transfer Dante Dowdell as the second transfer portal addition that the Huskers have formally acknowledged.
