Raiders’ Maxx Crosby:Hire Antonio Pierce or else..

Maxx Crosby, a standout defensive player for the Las Vegas Raiders, has made it known in a series of open statements that he is entirely in favour of Antonio Pierce leading the squad. If he and his colleagues don’t receive the coach they believe they deserve, he might even be open to asking for a move.

Crosby is making a firm demand and threatening to leave Las Vegas if Pierce isn’t hired, rather than just expressing a preference for Pierce.

For the first time since rumours surfaced that he could want to trade if Pierce isn’t hired, Crosby spoke candidly on his podcast, which was made available on Saturday.

“I’ll have to take everything into account. On his podcast, The Rush, Maxx Crosby stated, “Nothing’s off the table.” I stated unequivocally that I want to be a Raider forever. I wish to be here, I wish to succeed here, and I wish to wind down here. But I have to take everything into account if you go ahead and start over.

Although other Raiders have made it apparent that they would love Pierce to return on a long-term basis, Crosby is the first to openly express that he would look for an exit if it doesn’t work out.

“I made it very clear, honest, and public,” Crosby remarked. You are aware that, in my opinion, Antonio Pierce stands out. I mean, Rich (Bisaccia) and I previously had this chance a few years ago. Things were moving in the correct direction. We ultimately decided to start over from scratch after coming dangerously close to winning a playoff game, but it didn’t work out.

Crosby emphasised that his viewpoint goes beyond a player’s ability to select their coach; rather, it touches on issues of consistency, confidence, and the direction he thinks the Raiders should go.

“Like you said, we get to have a guy who has been a Raider fan his entire life and a lifer from Compton,” Crosby remarked. We have a former player, a Super Bowl champion, and a captain in the building. Then he enters and gets the opportunity to establish his worth, which he accomplishes.

Following Josh McDaniels’ dismissal, Pierce took over a 3-5 Raiders squad, and the team finished the season 5-4 and 3-1 in the AFC West. Those victories included a big victory at Kansas City on Christmas Day and a 63-point showing against the Los Angeles Chargers.

After Pierce was named interim head coach, the Raiders defense—which had always been the NFL’s bottom dog—improved and placed in the top 10 in terms of scoring.

Maxx Crosby talks Mark Davis openly about the coaching search

Additionally, the relationship between Maxx Crosby and team owner Mark Davis has taken centre stage in this narrative. Crosby revealed that they frequently and candidly discuss the coaching arrangement, demonstrating Crosby’s participation in the decision-making process.

That undoubtedly demonstrates Maxx Crosby’s leadership abilities and emphasises the importance of his viewpoints within the company. It’s crucial to remember that Crosby’s comments regarding the hiring process represent the team’s overall stance rather than just his own. Based on the Raiders roster’s collective history of success following Pierce’s takeover and the knowledge that consistency is essential to creating successful organisations, Crosby has shown a great deal of support for Pierce.

“I know how the guys feel, I know everybody wants AP (Pierce) back,” Crosby remarked while speaking about his current teammates. “I’m aware of the myths…All of the fans, including the Charles Woodsons and other individuals like him, want him back. Everyone wants to see AP back, and in my opinion, he has done more than enough to earn the chance to do so.

Pierce’s support from Maxx Crosby extends beyond simple loyalty; he cited instances in which the squad demonstrated progress and promise while playing under Pierce’s direction. He spoke up the squad’s ability to play with any team, even when they were losing, and mentioned the close games they lost against the Dolphins, Vikings, and Colts.

Crosby also highlighted how the team’s culture changed under Pierce, which resulted in an amazing revival of coach-player alignment of vision. He claimed he was convinced that under Pierce’s leadership, the Raiders would not only be a legitimate playoff challenger but also have a real shot at winning the Super Bowl.
