Nebraska offers its most recent quarterback for 2025.
The Huskers extended a verbal offer for Matt Zollers on Monday, making Nebraska the latest Big Ten team to make a similar offer this month. The offer was revealed by Zollers on Twitter.
Marcus Satterfield, the offensive coordinator at Nebraska, made the offer, according to the quarterback. For the 2025 class, the Huskers have extended a few offers, but their main attention has been on quarterback Alex Manske of Algona High School.
Stone Saunders, a 2025 quarterback who was also offered by Nebraska, earlier in January pledged to Kentucky.
In addition to verbal tenders from Power Five universities Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Virginia Tech, Zollers has offers from league rivals Michigan State and Penn State. There are ten offers overall for the quarterback.
He completed 182 of 290 passes for 2,917 yards, 37 touchdowns, and two interceptions in his junior year of football. In addition, Zollers ran 67 passes for 431 yards and seven touchdowns.
In the 2024 recruiting class, Nebraska selected two high school quarterbacks: three-star Daniel Kaelin from Bellevue West and five-star legacy Dylan Raiola.
There are just three quarterbacks on scholarship for the Huskers at the moment.
Conor Booth, CJ Simon, Tyler Terry, and Caden VerMaas are Nebraska’s current four commits in the 2025 class.
In terms of 247Sports and 247Sports Composite, Zollers is ranked inside the Top 247.
