A diverse receiving threat such as Oregon wide receiver Troy Franklin may be beneficial to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Although it’s not a very obvious problem right now, the Raiders in Las Vegas should be ready for the uncertainty that surrounds their wide receiver group’s future.

Tre Tucker, a wide receiver, was a wise pick by the Raiders in the previous year’s draft, but they still need to keep constructing towards that consistency.

If Las Vegas chooses to select a receiver early in the draft, wide out Troy Franklin appears to be a good choice.

Franklin satisfies every wide receiver’s need. Standing at six feet three, he is the perfect height and possesses a 40-yard sprint time of 4.35. The Raiders would have alternatives because the prospect is also very adaptable and can provide a danger both inside and outside the slot.

For his exceptional 2023 season, Franklin was selected to the Associated Press All-America Second Team and the All-Pac-12 First Team. 14 touchdowns and 1,383 receiving yards were his final stats. He had an astounding 17.1 yards per reception on average.

The standout receiver helped guide the Ducks to the Pac-12 title game, where they were nearly defeated by Washington, the eventual National Championship runner-up, along with Oregon quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Bo Nix. Oregon had a 12-2 record at the end of the season.

Franklin improved significantly from his sophomore year, when he was selected to the All-Pac-12 Second Team while still managing 891 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Franklin, a three-year starter at Oregon who was a four-star recruit out of high school, finished with 2,483 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns in 40 games.

The NFL Scouting Combine will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, from February 27 to March 4, 2024.

The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25–27, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan. The No. 13 overall pick is presently in the hands of the Las Vegas Raiders.
