The Nebraska football program hosted more than 30 recruits last weekend. There were visitors from 2025 and 2026, even a three-star prospect in the 2024 class.

If you feel like Matt Rhule never takes a break from recruiting, you aren’t alone. He and his staff leave no stone unturned and it’s fun to watch. As, Nebraska football is expected to host at least three targets from the 2025 class. My guess is that the number will grow.

However, Pierce Mooberry, an in-state athlete who is 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, also has two crystal ball projections to commit to the Huskers. He’ll visit very soon as will Ren Brown, a 6-foot-6, 275-pound offensive tackle from Stanton, Nebraska.

They won’t be the only visitors for Nebraska football though, as Bryan Munson of Husker Online reports that four-star defensive end Jaylen Williams (6-foot-6, 280 pounds) will be in Lincoln. Michigan has been trending as the favorite but it looks like Jim Harbaugh is headed for the NFL, so that could present an opportunity for the Huskers to grab the lead.

Williams is out of Palatine, Illinois, and is ranked No. 239 overall according to the On3 Industry rankings. He has visited Michigan and Iowa twice. This will be his first visit to Nebraska.

Timeline update for 2024 target Keona Wilhite

The 2024 visitor on campus last weekend for Nebraska football was three-star defender Keona Wilhite. He’s listed as a defensive end (6-foot-5, 240), but he told Husker Online that the Huskers view him as a Jack linebacker.

Wilhite said that he was impressed by the facilities and that he liked the “aggressive” defense Nebraska runs under Tony White. Yet, UCLA, Texas, and Michigan State are all in the mix. Wilhite said he expects to decide right around National Signing Day (Feb. 7).

There are no crystal ball projections at this time.
