“We’ve Got Our Eyes On Him”, Prospective Draft for The Raiders Looks Forward To Committing.

Using the 2024 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders hope to bolster their roster with new players.

There’s a new regime in Las Vegas as General Manager Tom Telesco and Coach Antonio Pierce will work together to choose the newest Raiders, seeking for players who align with their desired ethos.

Although the Raiders’ defense was strong at the end of the 2023 season, they may want to bolster it further in order for it to play well all season. Their defensive backfield is full with talented players, but there are a few cornerbacks that may be stars.

Terrion Arnold of Alabama is one of those corners. Arnold is among the best overall players in the class and was a member of the 2023 First Team All-SEC and First Team All-American teams.

Arnold finished his time as a Crimson Tide player with 108 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 20 passes defended, a forced fumble, and six interceptions, including five in 2023 alone.

Arnold was part of a talented Crimson Tide secondary, including another potential first-round cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry.

Arnold weights 196 pounds and is six feet tall. He plays with some of the best technique in the class and has the size of an NFL cornerback. He and Cooper DeJean of Iowa and Nate Wiggins of Clemson are perhaps the best cornerbacks available in the draft class.

Arnold is a superb reporter. In his two seasons at Alabama, he was targeted 131 times, surrendering just 69 receptions for 824 yards and four touchdowns, according to Pro Football Focus. He can get rough with his receiver because of his long arms and good quickness. He can cover ground by flipping his hips since he is an excellent athlete.

Arnold has some of the best skill and IQ in the class. Out of all the defensive backs in the class, he possesses some of the best click-and-close abilities and is an excellent route runner.

His adaptability is limited by his tendency to become excessively physical and the possibility that a player of his caliber is not a good fit for a zone defense. He would probably be merely a man corner if the Raiders choose to choose him.

Arnold will likely be available when the Raiders are on the board at No. 13. They could select him and make him their top cornerback of the future, which would bolster their defense for years.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25–27, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan. The No. 13 overall pick is presently in the hands of the Las Vegas Raiders.
