Auburn chose a different path this weekend, welcoming just one unauthorized visitor, in contrast to having multiple outstanding Junior Days this month.

Travis Smith Jr., a four-star wide receiver, traveled from Atlanta to the Plains and had a profound experience.

“What a fantastic day it was. It was a lot of fun to be the sole person here for this informal visit, Smith Jr. said to Auburn Undercover. It was nice to see their new facilities for the first time. Getting to know Coaches Hugh Freeze, Marcus Davis, and Derrick Nix was a terrific experience. They revealed to me who they really were and what this program is all about through those interactions.

He was able to spend a lot of time with Freeze and discover more about his background in producing wide receivers on his second visit to Auburn.

Smith Jr. declared, “It was great.” “I didn’t know about his history with receivers going into it, but knowing that he produced guys like DK Metcalf and A.J. Brown makes me confident he can produce a guy like me.” It was wonderful to hear that.

According to the 247Sports Composite rating, Smith is the No. 25 wide receiver and No. 196 overall player. The 191-pound, 6-foot-4 player from Georgia is ranked No. 27 as well.
