Now that January has here, the Nebraska football coaching staff is aiming to secure some of the best prospects in the 2025 class.One of them is Cortez Mills, who is arguably the Huskers’ finest wide receiver prospect this cycle.

Mills was told unequivocally that he liked the coaching staff and the football team at Nebraska. He went to the school’s first-ever Junior Day of 2024 in Lincoln this past weekend. Shortly after Mills left Lincoln, head coach Matt Rhule visited his hometown.

Not long after Rhule arrived, Mills showed off on social media how much he appeared to be enjoying himself. It appears like they got along well based on the photo he uploaded of the two hanging around.

Mills has reportedly had a Nebraska lean in addition to being one of the Huskers’ top targets for a considerable amount of time. It appears that Mills will eventually sign with the Cornhuskers as the cycle approaches the Early Signing Day for the 2025 class.

Mills, a 6-1, 170-pound wide receiver from Homestead, Florida, attends Homestead High School. In his junior season, the four-star recruit demonstrated his abilities, and he hopes to build on that in his senior year of high school. Cortez Mills caught 53 passes for 1,136 yards and two scores in 11 games in 2023.
