Great News: The Huskers Finally Signs Long Awaited Offensive Lineman who Snubs Rivals for Nebraska

Gophers extend offer to top-ranked Minnesota recruit Emmanuel Karmo - Sports Illustrated Minnesota Gophers News, Analysis and More

Nebraska football is eyeing a good player from Minnesota.

There is, of course, competition for Karmo to join Nebraska football. The Ohio State Buckeyes and USC Trojans have also extended offers to the excellent Robbinsdale Cooper High School student. In addition, Karmo appears to be the favorite to sign with the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

I used to tell them that I would play for them when I was younger. And I can now, really,” Karmo declared (via Ryan Burns of 247 Sports).

“I plan to visit Ohio State, Kansas State, and USC this spring. Although I don’t yet know the dates of the other visits, I do know that the USC visit is scheduled for March,” Karmo added.

The Cornhuskers still have plenty of time to convince Karmo to join the squad, even though Nebraska football could use some positive news after finishing the 2023 college football season with just a 5-7 overall record and 3-6 in Big Ten conference play. The Cornhuskers have also not won more than five games in a season since concluding 9-4 in 2016.

As of right now, four players—including three-star defensive lineman Tyson Terry—have committed to play football for Nebraska in 2025.
