Less than a week after receiving an offer, Gass made a visit to Auburn on Friday.

Christian Gass spent Friday in Auburn. anything that had never happened to him on a visit.

When Gass visited other programs, he went over his film with the coaches. It was a little different when he sat down with defensive coordinator DJ Durkin and linebackers coach Josh Aldridge.

“They exposed my flaws and my strengths,” Gass remarked. “So far, no place I’ve gone has demonstrated to me that…I can sense that he is not merely considering me for a job because he watched my video. He won’t keep telling me, “Oh, you’re here because you’re a good player.” He will demonstrate to you what has to be done.”

Christian Gass visited Auburn Friday.

A few weeks ago, Gass, who is 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, received an offer from Auburn, and shortly after, Aldridge traveled to his school.

Gass remarked, “He showed interest in me.” That demonstrated to me that he was sincere in his offer. He wasn’t merely making the offer in light of my movie or other offers I had received.”

Gass is seen by Auburn as a hybrid defensive end who can play safety or possibly outside linebacker.

He also had a meeting with Hugh Freeze, the head coach, during his first visit to Auburn.

“It was good, he was very straight forward and just telling me everything like how the recruiting process is going,” said Gass. “I’m going to be honest, we work on developing our guys,” he said. You shouldn’t enter this place at one level and remain there. We desire that you continue, continue, and continue. That simply meant a lot to me because I truly like the way he develops his players.”

The native of Covington, Georgia, will travel to Florida tomorrow, but the universities that are currently drawing his attention the most are Auburn, Georgia, and Kentucky.

Though he hopes to make a decision before his senior season, he does not have a deadline.

According to Gass, “They’re up there now” on Auburn. For that reason, I’m happy I came here—I wanted to learn more. They fulfilled my expectations.”
