Don’t look now but Nebraska football has been projected to land another 2024 recruit ahead of National Signing Day.

Before National Signing Day, Nebraska football fans should hear excellent news this week from three-star EDGE recruit Keona Wilhite. But, the Huskers may have more commitments on Wednesday.

Before the expert projections switched to Nebraska football, Wilhite, a three-star edge rusher, was leaning toward UCLA. This was partly due to NFL speculations involving Bruins head coach Chip Kelly.

On Wednesday, three-star safety Kahmir Prescott is the other 2024 target to keep an eye on. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Philadelphia safety had previously committed to Wisconsin but had now opened up recruitment again. Although it’s difficult to predict what will happen with the Badgers, Husker Online’s Sean Callahan has provided a well-informed prediction that the Huskers will sign him on Monday night.

Prescott posted on X that he will be announcing his commitment on Wednesday. He’s ranked No. 723 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He is ranked 74th among safeties and is the 19th-best player in the state of Pennslyvania.

 

Another 2024 addition for Nebraska football

At this late stage in the process, the Huskers would really benefit from landing him. Their overall obligations for the 2024 class would surpass thirty as a result. Prescott would be joining Nebraska football as a preferred walk-on, according to Callahan of Husker Online.

He would probably be given priority for a scholarship, and for the time being, a NIL agreement would be utilized in its stead.
