Auburn, AlabamaShadarius Toodle, a 6-3, 210-pound linebacker from Mobile, is one of the nation’s fastest-rising 2026 prospects. He has received numerous offers after an outstanding showing at the All-American Bowl combine in San Antonio one month ago.

Toodle received an offer from Auburn Tigers on January 31 in addition to offers from Baylor, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Washington, and other schools. On Saturday, he attended a junior day on campus to interact with Hugh Freeze and his staff on the Plains.

After visiting Auburn on Saturday, Toodle remarked, “It was an amazing feeling.” My first in-state offer was that one. It was simply an amazing sensation.

Auburn offers 2026 linebacker Shadarius Toodle

Hugh Freeze, the head coach of Auburn, is in Mobile this week to see a few Tigers participate in Senior Bowl events. He has made an offer to a young linebacker while he is there.

Auburn has extended an offer to Mobile native Shadarius Toodle, a member of the class of 2026, who made the announcement on Wednesday. Adding Toodle to the lineup of Power Five programs that already includes Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and Mississippi State is Auburn.

As a 10th grader last season, Toodle, a two-way player for Cottage Hill Christian Academy in Mobile, was essential in a number of ways. He made 103 solo tackles on defense, averaging 10.3 stops per contest. He had 488 yards and nine touchdowns in 2023, making him Cottage Hill’s top rusher as well.

He recently participated in the San Antonio All-American combine, and he tells Auburn Undercover’s Jason Caldwell that the experience has given him confidence as he enters his last two high school seasons.

Toodle stated in an interview with Auburn Undercover, “It was a great experience.” I was able to return to my team in Mobile as a leader with a lot of knowledge from it. It has given me more confidence and is something I can use back to educate and support my other linebackers.

Major recruitment services haven’t ranked Toodle because of his age. Nonetheless, as a sophomore in high school, he has excellent measureables. He still has two seasons of high school left, standing 6-2 and weighing 210.
