Hollis Davidson visits, has several connections with Auburn

Davidson came to Auburn for a game in the autumn and came back for Junior Day. His selection was greatly influenced by his family’s links to Auburn University, since both his mother’s side grandparents and great-grandparents attended and graduated from the university. Thinking back on his Junior Day, Davidson was thrilled with the outstanding facilities, great weather, and kind greetings from the coaching staff and fellow recruit Ryan Ghea.

With three tight ends expected to graduate after the 2024 year, Auburn will have a critical position need filled with Davidson’s pledge. He becomes a member of the anticipated trio of tight ends for the 2025 recruiting class.

Despite attention from other prestigious universities including Miami, Penn State, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Cincinnati, Ben Aigamaua’s tireless recruiting efforts and the help of tight ends assistant coach Logan Bradley were crucial in earning Davidson’s early commitment. Davidson was especially pleased with Bradley’s hospitable manner and Aigamaua’s family-oriented approach during his visit.

The athletic pedigree of Davidson’s family includes his father’s time spent playing volleyball at Penn State and his aunt’s accomplishments as an All-American for the Nittany Lions before she went on to coach at Notre Dame.

Davidson demonstrated his abilities as a junior at McIntosh, hauling in 30 passes for 436 yards and three scores.
