Ryan Crow, the outside linebackers coach, joined first-year defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver’s coaching staff. After working as an outside linebackers coach with the Tennessee Titans for the previous six seasons, he started in 2021.

The Miami Dolphins are hiring Crow, according to MMQB senior reporter Albert Breer. The Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, and Seattle Seahawks are all interested in signing Crow.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that Ryan Slowik, a former coach of the Dolphins’ outside linebackers who also tried out for the position of defensive coordinator, will remain on staff. He hasn’t disclosed his position, though.

Earlier this week, the Dolphins signed Joe Barry, the former defensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers, to instruct the inside linebackers. With an average of 23.2 points allowed per game in 2023, Miami was ranked 22nd; but, in the last three weeks of the season, that average rose to 34.3.

The Dolphins’ -$50 million salary cap space will need to be managed after the coaching staff is decided upon before the league season kicks off on March 15.
