When the team returns to Lincoln the following week, Bahl’s knee will be assessed, head coach Rhonda Revelle announced on Friday. That would appear to preclude Bahl from taking part in the Puerto Vallarta Challenge for the balance of Nebraska’s weekend.
After Oklahoma and Bahl won consecutive national championships in 2023, Bahl transferred to Nebraska. Bahl, a native of Nebraska, made the decision to complete her college education there.
Bahl is perhaps the best pitcher in the nation when healthy. She has been the Sooners’ ace for the last two seasons and is a two-time All-American. Bahl made 71 appearances while pitching for Oklahoma, going 44-2 with a 0.99 ERA and 397 strikeouts.
This weekend at the Puerto Vallarta Challenge, Nebraska still has three games to play. On February 16, the Huskers will start the Troy Cox Classic in New Mexico.
