Breaking News: Calamity Strikes The Huskers Again, As Nebraska Lose Major Player Due To Fatal Injury…

Nebraska Football Injury Report: Key rush end ruled out for Louisana Tech

A number of Nebraska football players will not be able to attend spring camp due to injury or surgical recovery.

Coach Matt Rhule said that the following players will be absent for part or all of camp: offensive tackle Turner Corcoran, running backs Gabe Ervin and Rahmir Johnson, receivers Malachi Coleman and Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda, and pass rusher Princewill Umanmielen. Camp starts in late March.

Rhule remarked, “I never want to rush people back.” For example, he largely excluded tight end Thomas Fidone from the 2023 spring camp, even though Fidone wanted to play every day.

According to Rhule, Corcoran’s foot ailment could not fully heal until August, when NU holds its training camp.

I’m not sure of his return just yet, But we are trying and making sure everything comes back to normal in no distance time.

Johnson (shoulder) and Ervin (torn hip) missed most of the previous campaign.

Due to Garcia-Castaneda’s (knee) absence for all but one half, Coleman—who had a shoulder injury during the season—was able to get greater playing time.

Despite suffering from a shoulder injury as well, Umanmielen emerged as a standout rookie, recording 22 tackles and one sack.
