Breaking News: Excellent 2025 DB Officially Agrees On A Visit Date While Defensive Back Corey Collier Is Out Of Team Roaster Due To…

2025 DB sets official visit to Nebraska football, plus more Cornhuskers news

The Nebraska football recruiting season for 2025 is about to heat up, and on Wednesday, we learned of one prospect in the class who will pay Lincoln an official visit during the summer.

That’s Aiden Manutai, a three-star defensive back. He weighs 170 pounds and stands 6 feet tall, ranking 528th overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings. Additionally, he holds the highest ranking among players in Hawaii.

Preston Taumua was plucked from the state of Hawaii by Nebraska football last season, and it appears the Huskers will return to the source for one of the state’s top athletes. Manutai is a defensive back with versatility and excellent tackling reflexes. On the other hand, I appreciate that he can play cornerback as a safety.

Those men need to be able to cover one-on-one, and Manutai seemed good to me. In addition to being a great fit for the 3-3-5 structure, he is a cool guy who would add the enforcement component to the secondary. The Huskers are competing with three other teams for his commitment, so that’s something you need.

On June 14, Manutai will pay Nebraska football a formal visit. There is a classic Big Ten recruiting rivalry going on here since he is also scheduled to visit Penn State on June 7 and Washington on June 21. What he said regarding his recruitment to 247 Sports is as follows:

“Coach Terry Smith and the rest of the defensive staff at Penn State consistently send DBs to the league, according to Manutai. “In addition, they have an interesting past, which is something I could be interested in participating in. Matt Rhule, the coach at Nebraska, is the one who sticks out. Even though we had a losing season, I really enjoyed playing defense, and I can easily see myself doing so at Kahuku when we use a similar 3-3-5 style. Additionally, since my freshman year, I have been loyal to Josh Omura and Jedd Fisch, the coaches at Washington. I adore what they accomplished at Arizona, and I can’t wait to see what they can accomplish at Washington this year.

Corey Collier is no longer with Nebraska Cornhuskers

The Nebraska Cornhuskers football team has changed their roster, leaving out a few players. However, one guy has been added: defensive back Corey Collier is no longer a member of the team.

Collier signed with the Florida Gators as a four-star recruit fresh out of high school. In the offseason of last year, he moved to Nebraska, where he appeared in just five games and eventually faded into the secondary.

He won’t be a Nebraska football player in 2024; we’re not sure if he used the transfer portal or isn’t on the roster for some other reason.
