On Friday night, a top recruit for Nebraska football in the 2025 class decided to make a significant cut to his recruiting. Six colleges have expressed interest in four-star offensive tackle Jack Lange: Notre Dame, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Ole Miss, and Wisconsin.

Before reducing his list, the 6-foot-8, 275-pound player from Eureka (Mo.) High reported 25 offers from the “Core Four” (ACC, SEC, Big Ten, and Big 12). Several notable universities he has visited, including Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, and Kentucky, were left out of the list.

After his junior year, he received offers from Penn State, Oklahoma, Georgia, Alabama, Southern California, Texas A&M, and Florida. But such institutions were also excluded.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary system that aggregates evaluations and rankings from all four major recruiting media sources, Lange is ranked No. 180 overall in the 2025 class, No. 14 at offensive lineman, and No. 2 in Missouri. His rating is 91.53.

He is ranked by On3 himself as the 289th best player in the class, the 18th best offensive lineman, and the second-best prospect in Missouri. On3 rated him with a 90.

Eight hours after he told Blue & Gold he would be making an unscheduled return to campus on April 14, Lange revealed his list of top institutions. It will be the No. 4 offensive tackle in the Midwest’s journey to South Bend according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

More than any other program, Lange visited Missouri four times out of the teams in his top schools. In addition, he has traveled to Nebraska three times; the Cornhuskers were the first university to extend a scholarship to him. He has made two trips to Ole Miss, one to Michigan, but he has never mentioned going to Wisconsin.

Lange visited Arkansas on January 13, Missouri on January 15, Notre Dame on January 20, and Ole Miss on February 2 during the recruiting contact period in January.
