Justin Fields is still with the Chicago Bears as of right now. However, given the nearing NFL Draft, this could alter at any point.

Colin Cowherd, a well-known sportscaster, claims that the local media contributes partly responsible Fields’ continued presence in Chicago. The Fox Sports 1 personality recently blasted the Chicago media for allegedly being too kind to the quarterback, who is 24 years old.

Cowherd chose to go all out on Fields and the purportedly overly protective Chicago media in a recent episode of The Herd. The veteran broadcaster claims that the media has an incorrect sense of allegiance to the team’s starting quarterback right now:

“The Chicago media attempted to uphold, elevate, safeguard, and promote him during the entire season. Cowherd remarked of Fields, “Maybe they’re watching Ohio State film,” before listing the quarterback’s career numbers during the second half of games. “You are aware of that? I can’t stop comparing him to this guy. Wilson Zach. But Zach Wilson is never defended by the New York media. As they ought to, they call it as they see it. I value that. “This guy deserves another year,” said the Chicago media. In the second part of the year, Zach Wilson.”

Not only is Fields being thrown under the bus here, but Cowherd’s brutality also claimed the life of the quarterback for the New York Jets. Indeed, the media personality expressed his feelings about the rookie backup quarterback for the Jets quite clearly.

Regarding Fields, Cowherd may soon get his wish as the Bears are expected to let go of the former star player from Georgia and Ohio State. Caleb Williams is the new sheriff in town that might be appointed soon.
