Big News: Philadelphia Phillies Reach Official Agreements To Bring In One Of The Acuna’s Into Team…

Phillies: Ronald Acuna Jr.'s brother agrees to join Philadelphia, but there's a catch

Kenny Acuna Jr.’s brother has reached an agreement with the Phillies, but he won’t be able to play for them until 2028.

Right now, Ronald Acuna Jr. is among the top players in the Major League Baseball, and that doesn’t seem like it will change very soon. The Philadelphia Phillies are among the teams who see Acuna’s wrath most regularly because both teams are in the National League East, where Acuna is wreaking havoc for the Atlanta Braves. They might now have the opportunity to add their own Acuna to their team.

MLB talent evaluators have the ability to scout international free agents at a very young age, which has led some people to Acuna’s 12-year-old younger brother Kenny. Acuna and Philadelphia have verbally agreed to a deal, but the catch is that Acuna can’t actually sign a contract with the organization until 2028 because he is only 12 years old.

Another of Acuna’s younger brothers, Luisangel, is a member of the New York Mets and is expected to make his major league debut later this season. The Phillies are not the only team that has made an effort to locate their own version of Acuna. Though Kenny is only 12 years old, Philadelphia has taken things a step further by contacting him and coming to this arrangement.

MLB: Kenny Acuña, hermano de Ronald, acuerda con Phillies

This is one to save for the future, because even though he won’t be in the majors for a while, the Phillies might have found themselves a future superstar. But considering how excellent Ronald has been, it’s worthwhile to examine his brothers more closely to see whether they accomplish anything near to what he can. Furthermore, if Kenny fulfills his promise, this will prove to be a wise investment for Philadelphia.
