With 6:27 remaining in the game, Mississippi State center Jessika Carter converted a free throw to pull the Bulldogs within eight points of the Tigers’ advantage. However, Auburn rallied and outscored the Bulldogs 24–16, keeping Mississippi State scoreless for the final six minutes of play.
