Jeremiah Ledbetter, a defensive lineman, has committed to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019.
The Jaguars confirmed that they have re-signed Ledbetter in a Friday announcement. The specifics of the new contract’s conditions were not made public.
After initially joining the Jaguars’ practice squad in 2021, Ledbetter went on to play in one game in 2022. But he started to play in every game for the squad last season and established himself as a regular presence on the pitch.
Interestingly, he received two starts and finished the campaign with a total of 24 tackles, one forced fumble, and one pass defensed.
Ledbetter was chosen by the Detroit Lions in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Prior to settling in Jacksonville, he had played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This week, the Jaguars have been diligent in keeping hold of important players; in addition, they have signed guard Ezra Cleveland and safety Daniel Thomas.
