The rookie Power-5 player averaged 21.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game at the end of the regular season. With six attempts per game, he shot 40% from three-point range and 47% from the field.

A contender for the Naismith Player of the Year Award, which goes to the best college basketball player each year, is Knecht. Amidst a strong field, the Vols are ranked first in the SEC Tournament after winning the regular season championship.
