Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan made his first public comments Wednesday since suffering a torn ACL in the second game of the season on Sept. 19.On Sam Lewan’s “Bussin’ with the Boys” podcast , with former teammate and host Will. Compton, Lewan, 31, discussed his season-ending knee injury and uncertainty about his future with both the Titans and the NFL.

Lewan has one year remaining on his contract with the Titans. , and will make $14.8 million non-guaranteed in 2023.”It’s tough, but it’s really going away,” Lewan said. “Like I’m sitting there thinking, what if I become a Titan? Because you never know what’s going to happen. What if it’s over for me? What if I am played football? … I have a lot to think about. Lewan mentioned that in order to live a normal life and possibly continue his football career, he needs surgery on his other right knee. He suffered a torn ACL in 2020 and missed five games in 2021 with other knee issues. He said it never fully recovered.After not being healthy the past few seasons in Tennessee, Lewan was in the final year of his contract to be eligible for next season.”I had some issues last season, Lewan said. .”The knee was swollen. I always felt pain there and thought, ‘I don’t know what it is.'”
