The San Francisco 49ers reached an agreement to keep one of their wide receivers from the 2023 season. The 49ers have a few decisions to make for the wide receivers corps ahead of the upcoming season.

One of the biggest contributions to quarterback Brock Purdy’s improvement has been the 49ers pass catchers. But after the 49ers’ Super Bowl defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs, there were doubts over whether Brandon Aiyuk would be back with the team in 2024. Indeed, trade speculations are circulating stating that Aiyuk and the Jacksonville Jaguars are interested in trading with one other.

Due to cap space concerns, Deebo Samuel has also been mentioned as a wide receiver the 49ers may move. The 49ers have little over $6 million in cap space for the 2017 campaign, according to Over The Cap. Thankfully, this weekend saw the 49ers reach an agreement with one wide receiver.

Per Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the 49ers re-signed Chris Conley.

Conley caught one pass for 18 yards in February’s Super Bowl and three passes for 69 yards in the regular season. He could be asked to have a larger role for the 49ers during the 2024 season.
