Having an early understanding of the classes that come after the one you are enrolled in is crucial when recruiting. The Huskers focused on the class of 2025, at least in part, after their 2024 class came to an end with quarterback Dylan Raiola’s big-fish pledge. In an effort to maintain positive relationships with their future top targets, they are also actively recruiting members of the classes of 2026 and 2027.

Jarius Rodgers, an edge rusher from Fleming Island High School in Orange Park, Florida, is six feet five and weighs 200 pounds. He recently received his Nebraska offer and is a potential for 2026. In addition, he has offers from Georgia Tech, Liberty, Kentucky, and other universities.

He discussed his offer in further detail and explained what it meant to him in a conversation with HuskerMax.

“Nebraska is a pretty solid program, and they compete heavily because they are among the top D1 institutions. Receiving this offer truly made me pleased because I’m huge on competing, and it indicates that they think I can assist them achieve their major objective of winning a national championship,” Rodgers said.

“Coach Keith Williams, the director of player personnel, made the offer to me.” Although I haven’t had to speak with him yet, I’m excited about it.

The gifted 2026 prospect added, “I would also love to go on a visit to see the campus and see where they put in the hard work.”

He attested to the fact that the Huskers are now doing well.

“Although I’m still young and have a long way to go, Nebraska is currently among the top universities I’m considering. We’ll see where God leads.”
