Why Are They Leaving? “He Will Surly Be Missed” Ravens Lose Yet Another Key Player Due To Poor…

Another Raven Leaving for AFC North Rival

Another player to leave the Baltimore Ravens for an AFC North foe.

The Cleveland Browns and former backup quarterback Tyler Huntley of the Ravens have reached an agreement, according to a report from Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

With Lamar Jackson as the current starter and Malik Cunningham and Josh Johnson already signed to support him, Baltimore is now stuck at quarterback.

The odd man out was Huntley.

The former Raven joins a quarterback room where he will most likely back up Deshaun Watson, who has a history of injuries that may necessitate the team having a veteran backup.

Joe Flacco, a former quarterback for the Ravens, joined the team at the end of the previous campaign to replace Watson and backup Dorian Thompson-Robinson due to injuries, and he helped the Browns make it to the postseason.

Although Huntley has largely been Jackson’s backup for the last four seasons, he has a wealth of experience from his time with the Ravens.

In seven appearances and four starts in 2021, “Snoop,” as he’s commonly referred to by teammates, completed 64.9 percent of his passes for 1,081 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions.

With two more scores and 294 yards on 47 carries, he was also effective on the ground.

After filling in for an injured Jackson towards the end of the season, the seasoned player was even invited to the Pro Bowl in 2022. In six games and four starts, he completed passes for 658 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions.

In addition, he ran for 137 yards and another touchdown.
