Tuesday was Blaise Keita’s transfer portal entry, a source told 247Sports.

The large man joined Eli Rice and Ray Lloyd Jr. as the third Husker to access the gateway in the previous two days.

Due to a persistent ankle injury that dates back to last year, Keita was unable to play during the previous season.

In twenty-two games during the 2022–23 season, the 6-11 Keita participated. Even though he was hindered by an ankle ailment sustained during non-conference play that year, he averaged 2.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. After coming from Coffeyville Community College, Keita was listed as a sophomore this past season.

As the team enters its offseason, four of its thirteen scholarship spots are currently available.

Veterans with one year left on their eligibility, such as Rienk Mast, Brice Williams, Juwan Gary, and C.J. Wilcher, will be the focus of the major decisions to be made.

After the game on Friday, Husker head coach Fred Hoiberg declared, “We’ll get some good ones in here and that starts-portal’s open.” “This is where it all begins. I could have breathed a sigh of relief when this had concluded. That’s no longer an option for you. Straight back to work we go. You’re already making phone calls and engaging in such activities.”

This week, according to Hoiberg, he will meet with every player to “figure out how to best construct the roster to help us get over this hump.”
