Today 4-star running back Alvin Henderson will make a final decision and commit to a college football program
Today, Auburn football hopes to add 4-star running back Alvin Henderson as another commit to its class of 2025 recruits. Henderson, a native of Elba, Alabama, has received over 40 offers from prestigious universities, including Florida State, Georgia, Alabama, and others.
Henderson, the #10 prospect out of Alabama and the #8 running back in the recruiting class of 2025, is scheduled to make his pledge at the Elba High School gym at noon central time. The running back has been a regular in the Tigers’ recruiting process for years, and they have given him first dibs this cycle.
Henderson states that his primary objective is to select a university whose coaches he has developed a solid rapport with and who can help him advance in his career.
According to Auburn Rivals, Henderson stated, “The main thing that’s gonna be important for me in my commitment will be the school that I’ve had the longest relationship with.” “Not only that, but a coach that I know is gonna be able to develop me and be able to get me to the next level, which is the NFL.”
Henderson’s level of interest in the Tigers has not diminished despite Derrick Nix replacing Cadillac Williams as his key recruiter; coaching will also be a factor in Henderson’s decision.
“I went back and did my research over these last few weeks, and looked at the players they developed, who played as freshman, which dudes made the most impact on the program when they came in and how they were developed,” Henderson stated.
Henderson is predicted to choose Auburn football by both the On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine and the 247 Sports Crystal Ball, but the Seminoles have recently made a strong push and are among his finalists along with Auburn, Penn State, Miami, Florida State, and Oregon.
