Auburn Earns Commitment From In-State Recruit
The Tigers are still focused on attracting in-state players.
Today is another evidence that elite Yellowhammer State prospects are still being recruited by Auburn.
Carde Smith is ranked as a 4-star recruit and the #216th player in the US by 247. He is now the Tigers’ most recent commitment. Smith, who weighs 300 pounds and is 6-foot-6, plays right tackle for Mobile (Ala.) Williamson. He’s also the fifth prospect from his state to choose Auburn. Smith is undoubtedly a potential worth considering at this early stage of the hiring process.
His HUDLÂ film showcases several plays where his quick feet help him to locate and overpower linebackers at the second level, as well as be quick to the fight and help to dismantle defensive linemen. After watching a few minutes of Smith’s film it’s not surprising that his offer list is extensive.
Among the schools Smith has offered to attend are Auburn, Florida State, Tennessee, Miami, Ole Miss, Florida, Texas A&M, Duke, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, UCF, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Missouri, and South Carolina.
For the class of 2025, the Tigers currently have ten verbal commitments in total. In addition to Smith, the Tigers have four offensive linemen committed to the program’s future. Auburn’s offensive line is their first priority, and the Tigers are succeeding there.
