However, the fan base was enthralled when South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer shared his trademark #WelcomeHome message on Twitter/X on Tuesday. It took very little time for the new commitment to show himself. Brian Rowe, a four-star wide receiver, was the second candidate added to the Gamecocks 2025 recruiting class.
Even while many USC supporters were finishing their supper, Beamer shared a second #WelcomeHome on social media, continuing the day’s festivities.
The identity of commitment #2 has not yet been revealed, and no timeline is known for that reveal. In-state EDGE player Anthony Addison is set to announce his commitment on Friday, and many other players have been on campus in Columbia recently. Beamer did not include a picture of the South Carolina state flag in his tweet (his usual trademark for in-state commitments), indicating that the pledge probably isn’t from the Palmetto State.
Under Shane Beamer, the Gamecocks’ commitments have historically come in waves, and it seems like a wave is beginning right now (at least, that’s what the fans really hope). Due to the two #WelcomeHomes on Tuesday, Addison’s impending announcement, the spring game in less than two weeks, and the approaching decision-readiness of numerous additional prospects, South Carolina football fans may receive a good deal of recruiting news in the coming month.
Ten more days of spring practice are left for the Gamecocks until the Garnet and Black Spring Game on April 20. The Big Gamecock Weekend will come to a finale with the spring game at Williams-Brice Stadium at 7:00 PM EST.
